Absentee voting for the November 6, 2018, General Election begins Tuesday, September 25. Absentee voting is provided for those who will be absent on Election Day, including physically disabled voters, caretakers of a physically disabled person, or employment as an election authority at a location other than your polling place.
Residents of Stone County may vote absentee at the courthouse in Galena Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm. Online absentee ballot applications can be found here. Applications must be printed and manually signed (electronic signatures are not valid). Absentee applications may be returned via the following methods:

*Please make sure applications are signed and dated before sending.
If unable to vote in person or access our website, a written absentee request may be sent to the County Clerk including the following information:
Date of Birth
Last four (4) digits of social security number
Reason for voting absentee
The request should be sent to:

Extended office hours for absentee voting will include Saturday, November 3, from 8:00am-12:00pm and Monday, November 5, until 5:00pm.
