The County Clerk is responsible for all voter registration activities in the county. There are more than 25,000 registered voters in Stone County.
You may register to vote by showing proof of residency at several locations throughout Stone County including city halls, DMVs, the County Health Center, and the County Clerk’s office located on the 3rd floor of the historic courthouse. You may also register through the mail by downloading and completing the Voter Registration Application or you may register to vote online through the Missouri Secretary of State's website.
Please be advised that any time a voter moves from county to county or state to state, that voter must re-register to vote in their new place of residence. If a registered voter moves to a new residence located in the same county, that voter will need to update their registration by filing a Voter Address Change Form with our office, preferably before election day.
The deadline to register to vote prior to any given election is 28 days. Voting in a county or precinct therein that does not represent your current residence on election day is a violation of Missouri Statute. Once I’m registered Where Do I Vote?
