The County Clerk is responsible for the local processing of notary public commissions. Applicants must first apply with the Missouri Secretary of State's Commissions Division. The Missouri Secretary of State will then forward his/her oath and commission to the County Clerk’s office. Applicants will also need to obtain a surety bond and present it to the Clerk for verification in order for the applicant to receive his/her oath and commission. A $6.00 fee will be charged - cash/check only.
